Fee Schedules

My fees are transparent.  I'll give you a price up front and there will never be any surprises.  The Texas Secretary of State sets maximum allowable fees for notary services (Texas Government Code §406.024).  My notary fees are set accordingly.  I charge separately for travel, convenience and non-notary services.  

Effective 2023, the Texas Secretary of State set standard fees for notary services as follows:

• Protesting a bill or note for nonacceptance or nonpayment, register and seal: $4

                  Each notice of protest: $1

• Protesting in all other cases: $4
• Certificate and seal to a protest: $4
• Taking the acknowledgment or proof of a deed or other instrument in writing, for registration, including certificate and seal;
    For the first signature: $10
    For each additional signature: $1
• Administering an oath or affirmation with certificate and seal: $10
• Certificate under seal not otherwise provided for: $10
• Copy of a record or paper in the notary public’s office (for each page): $1
• Taking the deposition of a witness (for each 100 words): $1
• Swearing a witness to a deposition, certificate, seal, and other business connected with taking the deposition: $10
• Notarial act not provided for: $10

Travel Fees - Distances calculated from the State Capital Dome; 1100 Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78701.

• Up to 20 mi.: $50
• 21+ mi.: $2.50 per mi.

Convenience Fees - Our regular business hours are 9A-5P.  After hours are from 7A-9A and 5P-7P.  Overnight hours are 7P-7A.

• After hours: $50
• Overnight hours: $75

Courier Fees - Distance calculated from service appointment location (shipping label or account number must be supplied).

$2.50 per mi. 

Printing and Scanning

Depostion: $125/hr.

I-9 Verification.

Our real estate notary services include notarizing deeds, affidavits, power of attorney documents, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions. We work directly with real estate agents, brokers and title companies to ensure a seamless notarization process.

While I prefer Venmo, I also take PayPal, card, cash or check.  

ACL or UT football tickets, or really good BBQ brisket occasionally taken in trade.
